摘要
This paper presents and discusses an automatic N-1-1 system stability study of the PJM system. The study was performed to evaluate the compliance of the PJM system stability performance with NERC TPL-001-4 Standard. The paper focuses on the technical approach as well as a set of automation tools developed for the study. The methodology for identification and selection of critical contingencies for assessment are discussed. The automation tools developed to automatically create power flow dispatch cases, execute dynamic simulations, analyze system damping, process results and verify compliance with system performance criteria are presented. These tools significantly improve work productivity and save engineering times. Case studies are included to demonstrate the tools and compliance of the PJM system with TPL-001-4.
