Introduction. Necrotizing fasciitis is a severe bacterial necrotic infection that affects the skin and soft tissues. Observation. We report a rare observation of necrotizing fasciitis located at the thoracic wall. The management requires an appropriate antibiotherapy preceding a large necrosectomy taking all the affected areas, thus preparing the underlying tissues for a possible skin graft. Conclusion. Through these two observations and a literature review, we describe the medical and surgical management of necrotizing fasciitis. (C) 2015 SPLF. Published by Elsevier Masson SAS. All rights reserved.
