Low-temperature oxidation of steel in neutral media

摘要
The effect of adding various corrosion inhibitors on the thickness and protective action of magnetite coatings formed on low-carbon steel in neutral ammonium nitrate solutions was studied. The addition of benzimidazole and benzotriazole was shown to be most effective. The treatment of an oxidized steel surface with an IFKhAN-type aqueous passivating composition improves its corrosion resistance and makes it possible to eliminate the stage of oiling the coating from the technological chain.
