Microtunneling in urban areas - Past, present and future trends

Microtunneling has grown in use dramatically over the last 10 years in Europe and the USA. Outside Japan, Berlin was the first City to use Microtunneling as a major method of construction in the 80's. More recently Houston in Texas has been the most active Microtunneling area in the World. In the future Bangkok - Thailand will be the most active City in the use of Microtunneling construction with other SE. Asian countries, South America and the Middle East becoming increasingly active. The use of Microtunneling in Urban areas is increasing Worldwide. The paper will continue to discuss with examples of the use and methods of Microtunneling in Urban areas.
