Ultrasound biomicroscopy - High-frequency ultrasound imaging of the eye at microscopic resolution

摘要
Ultrasound biomicroscopy is a method of using high frequency (50-100 MHz) ultrasound to produce high resolution images of the anterior segment of the eye in vivo. We have constructed an instrument that can be used in the clinical setting and that has became commercially available. This instrument has provided insight into a wide variety of intraocular diseases including glaucoma, anterior segments tumors, intraocular lens complications, and diseases of the ocular adnexa.
