The powder and bulk magnetic properties of strontium hexaferrite substituted by La and Nd

摘要
Substitution of different elements, particularly transition metals and rare earths, is one of the attractive research areas in the field of hard magnets. For example, there are many reports on the substitution of Co and Ti. In this work the effects of Lanthanum. and Neodymium on the lattice parameters of strontium hexaferrite have been investigated by using X-ray diffraction technique. Furthermore the variations of the magnetic properties, in both situations of powder and bulk, have been studied by vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM) and permeameter and the records of La and Nd have been compared together.
