SOME OUTSIDE THE CLASSROOM TEACHING EXPERIENCES

There have been far-reaching changes in university education over the last decade. On the one hand, these changes have been caused by the Bologna process in order to harmonise higher education in Europe. However, it is the new teaching methodologies where the changes have been more obvious and dynamic, in an attempt to adapt to the new social environment. As a result of this new scenario, innovation in teaching methods has focused primarily on the application of technological tools. However, we must not neglect other resources that can improve the learning process, especially if they reinforce the relationship between students and teachers. This research uses a master class as a starting point, but the innovation this traditional approach proposes is to impart the class outside the classroom. More specifically, we present two experiences conducted in spaces linked to the respective master clases in Financial Management. Hence, this paper belongs to the field of experience-based learning. The results obtained evidence that both experiences were welcomed by the students, particularly when valuing aspects such as learning, participation and promoting relations between group members.
