Quantum effects in mesoscopic systems of metallic tunnel junctions

摘要
We have studied dynamics of single Cooper pairs and vortices in networks of small area aluminum tunnel junctions. In this paper we report on two experiments: a demonstration of the Heisenberg uncertainty relation between the number of Cooper pairs and the phase of the superconducting order parameter and new measurements that seem to indicate band-like behavior of vortices in a one-dimensional array.
