摘要
Introduction: There are discrepancies about the influence of multiple sclerosis (MS) on the course and outcome of pregnancy. Objective: To analyze the characteristics, evolution of pregnancy and postpartum in pregnant women diagnosed with MS and compared with our normal population of pregnant women (control group) Material and Methods: Retrospective study of 35 pregnancies with 24 births of women with MS in our health area. Obstetric outcomes were compared with control group. Conclusions: Pregnant women with MS in our area are more likely to have urinary infection, abortions, preterm premature rupture of membranes (PPROM), preterm delivery and low birth weight than the general population of pregnant women.
