摘要
The objective of this study was to understanding the perception of wheelchair users about the inclusion of people with disabilities at work. This research is characterized as descriptive observational, with analysis and discussion of data under the qualitative paradigm. The field of study was the Association of Spinal Cord Injuries of Rio Grande do Sul. As a research instruments, it was applied a semi-structured interview and the field diary was used to record information during participant observation. Eight adult wheelchair users participated. The results indicated that the inclusion of wheelchair users is hindered by the fact that companies prioritize the inclusion of people with a lower degree of limitations and disabilities. The lack of physical-structural accessibility in buildings and adaptations of workplace are particularly difficult factors for people with motor disabilities, in addition to the still prevalent restrictions of attitudinal prejudice in relation to the difference.
