Attenuated Psychosis Syndrome (APS) was proposed as a condition for further study in section III of DSM-5. At an earlier stage during the development of DSM-5, Psychotic Risk Syndrome (PRS) had been suggested as a new diagnosis in the main classification of DSM-5. This article discusses the conceptual differences between APS and PRS, and how both entities fit into the spectrum of schizophrenia prodromes. Prodrome Risk Syndrome (PRS) had been suggested as a new diagnostic entity in the main classification of DSM-5. (C) L'Encephale, Paris, 2016
