摘要
Phase relations in the Yb-Fe-B system at 1070 K are studied by single-crystal and powder x-ray diffraction techniques. The existence of the two known ternary compounds in the Yb-Fe-B system is confirmed. The structure of YbFeB4 is refined by single-crystal x-ray diffraction: sp. gr. Pbam, YCrB4 type, a = 0.58437(4) nm, b = 1.1304(l) nm, c = 0.33520(4) nm; R-F = 0.0222 and R-w = 0.0531 for 550 independent hkl reflections.
