摘要
Introduction Uterine malignancies usually metastasize via hematogenous or lymphatic route or through local propagation leading to the apparition of secondary malignant tumors with various locations. Among these cases, patients presenting cutaneous or subcutaneous metastases usually develop through hematogenous dissemination or through local spread. In rare cases such lesions develop as oligometastatic disease and can be treated with curative intent. Material and methods We present the cases of two patients diagnosed with subcutaneous metastases from uterine primaries which were successfully submitted to surgery with curative intent. Results and conclusions In the first case the initial tumor had been localized at the level of the uterine body, while in the second case the tumor had been initially developed at the level of the uterine cervix. In both cases the primary tumor had been initially treated with curative intent, the cutaneous metastases being diagnosed at 18 and at 14 months respectively from the moment of surgery for the primary lesion. In both cases surgery with radical intent was performed for metastatic disease. In conclusion, although it represents a rare eventuality, oligometastatic disease from uterine neoplasms can be surgically treated with curative intent.
