A Model Predictive Resonant Controller for Grid-Connected Voltage Source Converters

摘要
The majority of the control design methods for a three phase voltage source converter in the stationary (alpha-beta) frame are based on proportional-resonant (PR) controllers. In this work, a new design method based on model predictive control (MPC) is proposed to control the input currents (i(alpha) and i(beta)) in the stationary frame. In the proposed design, a generic framework MPC is extended to incorporate a periodic resonant module, which in turn, introduces an infinite gain at a selected frequency to achieve zero steady-state tracking errors. The performance of the proposed controller is validated experimentally using a laboratory scaled test-bed.
