摘要
Magnetic compass is widely used in many engineering, such as navigation, construction and exploration. Miniaturization and high precision is always the aim of compass research. Constant emergence of new components and micro-processor makes the research go. ahead quickly. In this paper, a pocket compass system based on fix-point digital signal processor (DSP) is designed. Tri-axis magnetoresistive sensors measure earth's magnetic field and dual-axis tilt sensors measure the carrier's attitude. The whole system hardware and software design are analyzed and the system's hardware and software architecture are gave. System software has to compensate the temperature characteristics of magnetoresistive sensor and tilt sensor Ferrous disturbance is a headache in high precise compass, which can badly affect the final result. How to eliminate the ferrous disturbance are also discussed in this paper.
