摘要
Both Ag and Fe are mutually immiscible elements and this feature made it possible to produce nano-scaled multilayer laminates. Super-laminates of [Ag/Fe](10,000) layers and [Ag/FeNi3](17,000) layers of several thicknesses were successfully prepared by repeated rolling. We studied the structure and interface of Ag/Fe and Ag/FeNi3 multilayers by X-ray diffraction, electron microscopy and transmission Mossbauer spectrometry (TMS). [Ag/Fe] laminates were further treated by nitriding. These surface layers were characterized by conversion electron Mossbauer spectrometry (CEMS).
