摘要：
The development of pathophysiological orientated indications with dearly defined therapeutic strategies sup ports the increasing, worldwide standardization in the therapy of benign diseases of the thyroid gland. The most important variables for choosing the therapeutic possibilities are the individual characteristics of the patient and the regionally influenced economical setting. The diverse surgical therapies wed in malignant thyroid disease differ Minty in the extent of thyroid resection and the extent of the lymphadenectomy. Therefore it seems logical to orientate the surgical procedures in our country less on the Japanese and American studies than on our own regionally influenced collective of patients. Present standard in surgical treatment of benign and malignant diseases of the thyroid gland.
