Synthesis of selenium doped TiO2/Ag composite thin films with enhanced photocatalytic performance under visible light irradiation

摘要
Selenium doped TiO2 and Selenium doped TiO2/Ag composite thin films were fabricated by spin coating, followed by post annealing. The Ag concentration in the thin film composites was controlled. The XPS, XRD and electron microscopy characterization showed that Se4+ and Ag-0 were successfully introduced into TiO2 nanostructure. The catalytic performance of as-deposited thin films was investigated in methylene blue degradation reaction under visible light irradiation, and the relationship between Ag concentration and photocatalytic performance of the thin film composites was explored.
