Control parameter calculation of synchronous reluctance motor using FEM and Preisach modeling

摘要
It is necessary to calculate the exact parameters considering iron loss and saturation for a precise control characteristics analysis. This paper presents the calculation of the control parameters of a synchronous reluctance motor (SynRM) using the 2-D finite element method (FEM) and Preisach's model. Preisach's model is adopted for analysis of a SynRM with hysteresis characteristics. An iterative method, which does not diverge at any initial value and has the advantage of converging more quickly than the Newton-Raphson method, is used to provide a saturated field solution.
