摘要
The publication deals with the process of price setting in the labour market of European Russia in the late XIX early XX cc. The examination revealed its features: an extremely low level of nominal and real wages; a reduction in the workers' actual earnings due to their latent or patent decline; a serious impact of the intensity of the class struggle between workers and entrepreneurs on the level of wages in Russia; a high level of inter-regional and inter-industry differentiation of labour remuneration of factory workers; the independence of the total aggregate supply of labour from the demand for it. It was found out that the level of workers' wages of one or another region depended on what branch of industry dominated in the region; on the location of the industrial region and of individual enterprises; on the specific features, size and location of enterprises of some sectors, on the degree of migration of skilled workers, on the general cultural level of the population, as well as on some other factors.
