The S. I. Vavilov State Optical Institute and this country's optical industry

One of the main principles of the activity of the S. I. Vavilov State Optical Institute (GOI) has always been a close bond with production. The mutual involvement of GOI and the optical industry in joint work has been the source of scientific and technical progress and has ensured for GOI not only stability of orders but also the possibility of generous financing of the fundamental and research work of the institute from the resources of the state budget.
