Simulation of active structural acoustic control using enclosed space radiation modes

摘要
Past works for radiation mode are mostly on calculating or reducing the sound radiation of rectangular panels in free space in terms of free space radiation modes. In this paper, the enclosed space radiation modes (ERMs) is derived theoretically and applied to active structural acoustic control in enclosure. It is showed that the potential energy in the enclosure can be decomposed into independent parts arising from ERMs and only first few ERMs produce the majority of total potential energy. A new control strategy of reducing dominated ERMs for active structural acoustic control in enclosure is proposed and applied to the simulation of active structural acoustic control in a rectangular enclosure.
