摘要
Education in Hong Kong increasingly needs to change to reflect a growing movement toward providing more equitable educational opportunities by initiating inclusive educational practices. In recent years a number of very important educational reforms have moved the whole-school approach to integrated education forward and have attracted major attention from both government and private systems. There is little doubt that this movement will continue to impact educational decisions across all sectors in Hong Kong in the coming decades. Since the enactment of a more inclusive philosophy in Hong Kong, many changes have occurred in the provision of education for students with disabilities in mainstream schools. A review of the current system in Hong Kong is followed by a proposed support model for sustaining a whole-schooling approach to inclusion that addresses some of the challenges for better enabling professional and community collaboration to further enhance inclusive educational practices. © 2007 M.E.
