摘要：
In this paper we studied the application of the transfer matrix formalism combined with the simulated annealing algorithm to design acoustical structures. The method introduces a cost function, which is minimized by the simulated annealing algorithm, and looks for an optimal vector, in order to determine a close match of the prescribed behavior. Some numerical computations have been carried out to design some special acoustic structures and an experimental analysis of the designed acoustic structure is provided.
