Let k be a field of arbitrary characteristic and let k[x(1,) ..., x(n)] be the polynomial k-algebra. We describe, in some special cases, polynomial graded subalgebras of k[x(1), ..., x(n)] containing k[x(1)(p), ..., x(n)(p)], where p is a prime number.
