摘要
PaQ, a simple 3-day insulin delivery device, is a patch on device that provides set basal rates and bolus insulin on demand. PaQ was designed for people with type 2 diabetes mellitus to reduce the barriers of multiple daily insulin injections. A study assessed feasibility of use, method of transition, glycemic control, patient reported outcomes and safety in people with type 2 diabetes using PaQ. PaQ performed as expected. Data suggest ease of use, reduction of barriers to insulin therapy and a trend toward a slight improvement in glycemic control. These findings are important because improved medication experience may result in better compliance and subsequent clinical outcomes.
