Preliminary investigation for electric conductivity structure of the crust and upper mantle beneath the Aershan volcano area

摘要
MT measurement has been carried out along a profile in NNW direction at 7 sites in the Aershan volcano area. The data has been processed and analysed. The substructure has been obtained by applying 2-D inversion. The 2-D result reveals that there exist two belts down to the mantle beneath two volcanic chains. It may be of high temperature and rich in fluid at the depth of 10 similar to 12 km under the one volcano that was found newly. There is a path supplying heat to the crust from the mantle. The belt under the old volcano belt has being cold down to the depth of 30 km. The two volcanic belts have the same resource at depth.
