A 2W, high efficiency, 2-8GHz, cascode HBT MMIC power distributed amplifier

摘要
In this paper a new topology for wideband power distributed amplifiers is proposed. This topology is based on a nonlinearly optimized HBT cascode cell. More than 2W have been measured in the 2-8GHz frequency range with an associated gain of 9dB and a PAE higher than 20%. Those results have been found in good agreement with the simulated ones.
