摘要：
In the information society, the fortune of individuals depends ever more ssrengly on their so-called "information replica". One of the harmful side effects of informatization is that individuals lose control over the allocation and utilization of their personal data. Development of privacy enhancing technologies (PETs) has been engendered by the need to Counterbalance this erosion of the private sphere by technology itself. The paper systematizes this sort of technological solutions, shows their background and points towards the directions of further development. The author gives a brief Survey on several factors promoting or hindering various applications of PETs.
