摘要
This paper aims at analazing the impact of digital attitude and hyperculture on the performance of undergraduate students. The reasearch was carried out with a quantitative approach, interviewing 311 undergraduate students from three higher education institutions located in the Brazilian Northeast, thus being chracterized as a study of multiple cases. Self-administered forms with closed and open questions were used for data collection. The quantitative part investigated digital attitude and hyperculture indexes, correlations between the constructs (digital attitude, hyperculture and academic performance) were also investigated. Data analysis was carried out with the aid of SPSS software. Findings indicate that there is no positive nor negative correlation between academic performance and the digital attitude and hyperculture constructs. However, upon analysis of the factors that make up the academic performance phenomenon in regards to hyperculture and digital attitude, one infers that it is as much influenced by the institution where the courses are happening as by the course itself, and this influence merits more detailed observation in further studies.
