摘要：

Safety is a basic developmental principle in urban modernization. As a new developmental mode, urban complex raises new requirements to disaster relief and prevention and functions as evacuation and shelter in times of disaster. Therefore, the study on the design of public space in urban complex for daily use and disasters is an urgent task and responsibility for architects. This paper deals with the functions and the layout principle of urban complex public space, and analyzes the existing problems of the use of public space in urban complex, and then proposes design strategy of public space in order to give full play to its functions.
