摘要
In this paper, a new architecture of a photovoltaic mode pixel is presented. This pixel array embeds the capability to continuously harvest solar energy thanks to its photovoltaic mode of operation while one pixel row is in an imaging configuration. A small 4x20 pixel matrix has been designed and tested to demonstrate the ultra-low power imaging capability of the pixel and also its harvesting capability. Experimental results show that this pixel is paving the way to an autonomous and self-powered image sensor working under realistic light condition (few klux).
