摘要
This work highlights problems of digitalization of small and medium-sized enterprises that form an important sector of modern Ukrainian economy. The purpose of this research is a study of trends and challenges in the digital development of small and medium-sized enterprises in Ukraine, as well as identification the ways of its intensification. We have conducted a survey of owners and managers of Ukrainian small and medium-sized enterprises about the specifics of current digital transformations and future plans for digital development. The survey results are analyzed by types of economic activities. We emphasize the insufficient attention of small and medium-sized enterprises' managers to the problem of information security, which can have an extremely negative effect on the stability of business. We highlight the barriers for implementing digital technologies, including high cost of software and hardware, lack of funds, undeveloped infrastructure, and define the ways to support the diffusion of digital technologies in the sector of small and medium-sized enterprises.
