An acid-base resistant paddle-wheel Cu(II) coordination polymer for visible-light-driven photodegradation of organic dyes

摘要
A new Cu(II)-based metal-organic framework with open metal sites, {[Cu(L-NO2)(H2O)center dot 0.25(CH3CN)}(n) (1) (L-NO2 = 4,4'-dicarboxy-4 ''-nitrotriphenylamine), has been solvothermally synthesized and characterized, which exhibits a 3-D porous network assembled by 2-D two-fold interpenetrating sheet comprising helical chains. Compound I shows outstanding chemical robustness which can withstand acidic or basic aqueous solution as well as various organic solvents. In particular, compound 1 displays a notable visible-light photocatalytic activity for degrading organic dyes (e.g. crystal violet (CV), rhodamine 6G (R6G), congo red (CR) and basic red 2 (BR2)) with the assistance of H2O2.
