Study on the Effect of Carbon on the Properties of Magnesia-Carbon Refractories

摘要
Introducing different sources of carbon (graphite and carbon black), the thermal shock resistance of magnesia-carbon refractories was studied. The results show that with the decrease of carbon content, the thermal shock resistance of samples is gradually decreased. For the samples with the same carbon content, the thermal shock resistance and the slag corrosion resistance of the materials containing mixed graphite and carbon black are obviously greater than those with merely added graphite.
