In December 2007, the conviction and death sentence of Reichstag arsonist, Dutch citizen Marinus van der Lubbe who, in 7933, had set fire to the Reichstag in Berlin and who was executed in 1934, was overturned by the German federal prosecutor because it qualifies as Nazi injustice. The legal arguments for this new evaluation of the sentence are explained. In addition, a reprint of the report written by Karl Bonhoeffer and Jurg Zutt who had presented a psychiatric expert opinion to the court as to van der Lubbe's responsibility is presented.
