摘要
Sediment dynamic release has a significant influence on the overlying water. The influence degree can be measured by sediment dynamic release rate, which is primarily affected by hydrodynamic conditions. In this research, the physical effects of hydrodynamic conditions on sediment dynamic release rate were analysed theoretically based on the sediment incipient velocity theory. The physical laws of sediment dynamic release rate along with water current velocity and water depth were discussed under the conditions of different water current velocities and water depth values. It showed that when other conditions remained stable, except for the water current velocity, the sediment dynamic release rate would increase due to the increasing of water current velocity; when other conditions remained unchanged with the exception of the water depth, the sediment dynamic release rate would reduce as the water depth increased. The conclusions can serve as references for diverting water to wash mud and controlling sediment release with sand capping.
