摘要
In this paper, we review some ranking criteria for comparison of income distributions in terms of inequality, based on the Lorenz curve. Then, we describe a general method for obtaining classes of inequality measures that are isotonic, or order-preserving, with the orderings studied. Finally, we perform an empirical analysis with which we analyze and compare the income distributions of 33 European counties, including the EU-28.
