摘要
This paper develops an analytical model for predicting the air-gap magnetic field of surface-mounted permanent magnet motor with Bread-Loaf magnets considering the slotting effect. The Bread-Loaf magnets are finitely segmented into magnet pieces of regular shape. The radial and tangential components of the no-load flux density in a slotless air gap is obtained by the superposition of the magnetic field due to each segment. Then the conformal transformation method is presented to take into account the effect of slotting. The correctness of the analytical model is verified with two-dimensional finite-element method.
