摘要
In this work, two types of magnetic nanoparticles samples were injected to bovine liver and their heating efficiency was studied. The first type consists of 10 nm superparamagnetic iron-oxide nanoparticles while the second one of 40 nm ferrimagnetic ones. Aqueous solutions of 5 mg/mL magnetic nanoparticles were injected to 1 mL of bovine liver and subjected to an alternating magnetic field of 30 mT/ 765 kHz to evaluate experimentally their heating efficiency. The theoretical simulation of the heating sequence was carried out by using the COMSOL software. With the implementation of adequate magnetic models, the magnetic field and temperature distributions in the liver tissue together with the magnetic hyperthermia curves were extracted and compared to the experimental ones, outlining the validity of the corresponding theoretical models.
