摘要
Located in the cytoplasm, mitochondria and nucleus in the form of soluble dimers, DJ-1 is a recognized Parkinson's disease (PD)-related protein since its gene mutation leads to the early onset of autosomal recessive PD. Under oxidative stress which is closely related to the pathogenesis of PD, DJ-1 exerts its neuroprotective effects by sensing oxidative stress, changing gene expression, and participating in the regulation of AKT, ASK and other important signaling pathways.
