摘要
In recent years, there has been more of an emphasis on student success in colleges and universities. This paper is a comparison of student success, specifically course completion, in an introductory programming course. Three sections of the course were offered in two consecutive semesters. The same instructor taught each section each term. One section of the course was taught completely online; the other two sections were hybrid courses: a blend of online and classroom instruction. To help improve student success, some new strategies were added to the course in the second semester. Statistics show that course completion improved in the second semester, particularly in the online course section.
