摘要
The purpose of this paper is to design, fabricate, and test a prototype of a PEM fuel cell cogeneration system of high-quality electricity and hot water. Subsystems of the fuel cell cogeneration system are built, including hydrogen delivery subsystem, air supply and humidifier subsystem, power management subsystem and a thermal management subsystem. Smart control strategies together with a microcontroller along smart control strategies is developed for proper operation of the cogeneration system. The effect of external load on the dynamic behaviors and efficiencies of the cogeneration system are examined and discussed in detail. Results showed that, the maximum combined heat and power efficiency is up to 75% in the range of load studied.
