摘要
Mitigation of carbon dioxide emissions could be realized by electricity savings, technology changes and increase of efficiency of power generation, and sequestration of CO2. Three categories of Carbon dioxide Capture and Storage (CCS) technologies are the most important: CO2 capture before the combustion, after the combustion and the fuel combustion in oxygen. The commercial application of the technologies will be probable possible in the near future. Absorption, adsorption, membrane separation and cryogenic separation are most popular among the CCS technologies. The long term storage of CO2 is a relatively untried concept that's why no one big power plant works now with the full installation of the CCS. Each method of the CCS is connected with the investment and the operation cost. The MEA absorption is commercially available and suitable for fossil power plants. The paper presents the technical-economic analysis of the CCS technologies and their influence to the cost of electricity production.
