Blast-furnace injection of a combination liquid fuel based on petroleum-based wastes and oil-bearing scale

摘要
The thermodynamic modeling of phase transformations in the tuyere zone of blast furnaces, when combination liquid fuel (CLF) was injected into tuyere, was analyzed. CLF injection markedly changed the oxidation-reduction conditions in the tuyere zone, increasing the length of the oxidation zone, and the fractions of CO and H 2 in the hearth gas. The iron oxide that entered the tuyere zone with the CLF were converted to the liquid phase, began to be reduced 800-850 mm from the end of the tuyere and were completely reduced 1400 mm from that point. The analysis shows that CLF injection suppresses the formation of SiO in the tuyere zone helping to decrease its content in the pig iron.
