摘要：

A novel, small winged microstrip patch antenna incorporating a single shorting post is introduced. The proposed antenna is significantly smaller than a conventional shorted patch antenna, and is therefore very suited to wireless communication handsets where limited antenna size is a premium. Importantly, the antenna is easy to develop. An integrated version of the proposed antenna on a standard communication handset chassisep is also presented, and its performance is compliant with most cordless systems requirements.
