摘要
A 2D software for modeling the accumulation of methane hydrates in basin scale was developed. This software couples models for the processes of methane generation from organic maters, the methane-bearing water migration from sediment consolidation, and kinetics of hydrate precipitation and accumulation. Based on the seismic interpretation, the geological information and geochemistry data, the dynamic accumulation of gas hydrates in northern slope of South China Sea was simulated. Dynamic accumulation and distribution of gas hydrates were found controlled by the tectonic evolution and the sediment fillings. The modeled fluid regime indicates that transverse migration become preferential that fluid migrates faster along the unconformable surfaces and faults with high permeability, towards the north edge of slpoe with a water depth of 1200-1500 m, where the hydrates may concentrated, the layer of 100 to 300 mbsf in hydrate stability zone is found favorable for gas hydrates accumulation.
