Effect of Catalyst on Preparation of YAG Sol by the Sol-Gel Process

摘要
YAG sol was prepared by a sol-gel method with Al(NO(3))(3) and Y(NO(3))(3) as precursors, and with citric acid and (CH(2))(6)N(4) as catalyst. The influence of different catalysts on YAG sol structure was characterized by TEM, IR and DTA/TG. The results show that with (CH(2))(6)N(4) as alkaline catalysts YAG sol is easier to form network structure and transform gelatin than with citric acid as acidic catalyst. Also the crystallization temperature of YAG with (CH(2))(6)N(4) as alkaline catalyst is lower than that with citric acid as acidic catalyst.
