Analysis of pulmonary diseases using wireless breathing rate and pulse rate monitoring system

摘要
In medical diagnosis it is important to measure accurate breathing rate and pulse rate for diagnosis of pulmonary diseases. Difference of abnormal breathing rate (like wheezing sounds, rhonchus, and crackles) and normal breathing rate helps in diagnosis of the pathologies, physiologies of lungs and obstruction of airways. So, continuous monitoring of respiratory rate with portable low-cost system will always be in need In this paper, the proposed system is monitoring three physiological signals (breathing rate, body temperature and pulse rate) which are majorly used in diagnosis of pulmonary diseases. All these signals are transmitted wirelessly in the proposed work for critical monitoring of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), Pneumonia, upper respiratory tract infection (URTI) and asthma.
