摘要
Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) are characterized by persistent deficits in communication and social interaction in multiple contexts. Augmentative and alternative communication is a compilation of methods and technologies intended to complement oral communication for people with limited speech or language skills. The purpose of this article is to present the use of assistive technology of augmentative and alternative communication, developed for mobile device, aiming to help the ASD in their daily activities. To achieve this goal, a description of the Chups application, which was developed for iPad, is presented. The main App goal is to help the autistic day to day, giving those who can't speak the possibility of expressing themselves more easily. The application also assists in the organization of daily tasks, enables efficient communication for those who dont write and provides help in crisis times.
